Meet Claudia!
Blind Low Vision NZ holds a special place in Claudia’s heart. Thanks to their Guide Dogs programme, she’s had Aztec by her side for four incredible years. Aztec is her support, her confidence, and there’s hardly a moment they aren’t together.
She struggled with public transport, spending time with loved ones and getting from A to B safely. Aztec has given her the confidence to have an amazing quality of life.
She is so excited for the future guide dogs to make a difference in lives of those who need it, and the positive impact it would make on them, just like Aztec has done for her.

Meet Xavier!
Xavier has Development Language Disorder and Dyslexia and can sometimes lack self confidence.
Through the Riding for the Disabled program, Xavier has focused on managing self, relating to others, participating and contributing which has helped develop his communication skills.
These outcomes translate into Xavier's everyday life where he is more confident to try new things.
Funding for this program will help more diasbled New Zealanders discover their unique abilities and be empowered to participate in important life activities and roles.
